About Us

The Whānau Fund Trust.

The Whānau Fund Trust was established in 2021 by Nau Mai Rā Limited, with the belief that everyone has the right to electricity and families should not have to choose between basic needs and keeping the lights on.

Through the spirit of manaakitanga, the trust’s objectives is to to eliminate power poverty.

We do this through partnership with local communities to foster collaboration, support energy focused programmes and champion change when it comes to issues of energy hardship.
